How it all Begin
Desert Country began with a simple goal—to create a welcoming place where people of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels could come together through country dancing. What started as a handful of lessons has grown into a thriving community built on friendship, encouragement, and a shared love for music, dancing, and the western lifestyle. Every step we’ve taken has been guided by the belief that everyone deserves a place where they feel like they belong.
How we got started

It all started with an eager-to-dance 28-year-old who had gotten bored over COVID. I [Tyanna] started teaching myself some of the most modern line dances and would dance them by myself on the weekend in the Flying X Saloon. The line dance classes hadn't resumed yet at the X and all of my fellow dancers were begging me to teach the dances I knew in an official class instead of just on a packed, drunk-filled dance floor on a weekend.

Line Dance Performances

With a music video for Shotgun Jefferson's Have a Few in Havasu song under our belts, a handful of line dancers were invited to line dance on Main Street for the Halloween block party. The line dancers have been invited back every year from 2023 to 2026 so far. Not long after that first Halloween performance, I took a break from dancing altogether before I started looking for alternative places to dance in and around Havasu.

Slate Safety Notice

All 2021 Slate models are sold with inner tube tires. When modification is attempted to run tubeless, (i.e. removal of the inner tube) the tire bead may not seat properly in the rim and the tire could come off the rim. Cannondale has received reports of this occurring in the field, posing a safety risk.

Bad Boy Safety Recall

Bad Boy and Bad Girl bicycles subject to recall can be identified by looking at the date code on the bottom of the fork leg. Look for the first character of the code as compare with tables below to find out if the bicycle is subject to this recall.
